Cheyenne Woods seems to be following the footsteps of her famous, pro-golfer uncle, Tiger Woods. Not only that, but she has, also, successfully gained the status as the sixth African American to become a full-time member of the LPGA after earning the tour card for the female pro-golf organization.

​Woods said, from a Ladies European Tour stop in Dubai, "If the last name of Woods brings new fans or new players to the game of golf, I love that.” She has always been a proud fan of her uncle, and having the opportunity to continue the family name in the sport that she had grown to appreciate has especially been a fulfilling experience for her.

 Although she loves the idea of continuing the proud family name, she has focused on creating her own legacy, along with being a woman playing, what is considered, a man’s sport. Woods has already taken part in the Symetra Tour and in five LPGA Tour events in 2014.

"It feels so good to know it has all paid off, that it was not given to me, nothing was handed to me, It was me working every day, the hours I put in on the golf course. It wasn't a connection or someone I knew that got me in."

She admits that seeing her uncle Tiger’s success in golf had inspired her to also participate in the sport she loved. He helped her to realize that everything is possible.

Woods is proud of what she does and always speaks confidently about her place in the sport. Competition flows through her blood; pressure doesn’t intimidate her, but pushes her to be the best. Woods confesses that she doesn’t give up. That moral must be how she found herself where she is today.
