The Dinner Table is BACK and ready to #HaveASeat with you!
After a year-long program hiatus The Dinner Table is back and better than ever! As you may know, we are a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that partners with schools and community organizations to provide BIPOC girls ages 10-18 with college and career readiness programming and resources.
In every program we prioritize teaching our scholars:
We are so excited to embark on a new era of programming and hope you'll join our December Conference to kick things off! |
About The Conference:
From December 15th- 17th The Dinner Table will host 100 students for a weekend of sisterhood and career exploration featuring: self-esteem building workshops, skill-building panels, job shadowing field trips and a mentorship-matching opportunities. The weekend will also include signature dinner table events like the "Hotcombs N Sunday Dinners" dinner event on Saturday night and the "Pink Toast Brunch" on Sunday to conclude and celebrate the conference weekend.
Why We're Hosting The Conference?
When we surveyed our students in 2019, 89% shared that they do not have a mentor nor know someone working in their dream career field, we want to change that. By connecting girls with successful women in various fields, the organization hopes to bridge the mentorship gap and empower these young individuals to pursue their dream careers with confidence and determination.
