Recap: A Seat For Me [December Dinner]

On December 13th, The Dinner Table hosted our first "A Seat for Me" dinner event where we celebrated sisterhood and honored various Community Shero's for their hard work and ability to make a difference in the lives of everyone they met. 

Our honorees included Shaleah Lache Sutton founder of Uniquely You Summit, Tola Lawal of BET and Gyrl Wonder and Gilda Squire, publicist and manager of Misty Copeland, Shawne' Lee, community activist and dancer and mother daughter duo, Octavia Figueroa and Rev. C Wallace.

"While attending the Dinner Table I felt a strong sense of conviviality. Even though I was not acquainted with a majority of the attendees, I still felt a bond. After becoming acquainted with everyone at my table, I learned a substantial amount of information from everyone that I can use in my everyday life. I was inspired seeing the women get their awards and hearing their stories. Overall everything was amazing ..."
