For all of my ‘Insecure’ fans we have a lot to look forward to in the new season. Issa and Daniel living together, Molly’s situationship with Dro and of course the fire soundtrack.

 On June 7th I was invited to attend my old dance schools’ end of the year showcase and let me just say that I left that space feeling so grateful to have been in the room.
 The movie adaptation of the novel, The Hate U Give, will be premiering in October of this year. It tells the story of a 16-year-old girl named Starr Carter who attends an elite private high school in the suburbs but lives in a poor Black neighborhood known as Garden Heights.
 The upcoming movie The Hate U Give premiered it’s first trailer during the BET awards on June 28.
 A little over a year ago, I crossed one of the most important milestones in my life thus far— moving on from student to graduate.
 I recently graduated from John Jay College of Criminal Justice and will have a Bachelors degree in Forensic Psychology and English. Upon my arrival to the school I was invited to take part in the Early Start Program for English, which gave students the opportunity to take a course in the summer which would roll over into the fall, but also lessen the workload for that upcoming semester.
